Giacomo Casanova
Born in Venice in 1725, Casanova has gone down in history as the seducer par excellence, but his life was far more complex and surprising. A man of great intelligence and curiosity, he devoted himself to study, science and the arts, moving through the most refined salons of Europe and weaving relationships with nobles, intellectuals and prelates.
His free spirit, his wit and his audacity made him a troubling figure in the eyes of power. In 1755 he was arrested and locked up in the Piombi, one of the most feared prisons of the Serenissima, accused of immoral conduct and suspicious practices. From there, he carried out one of the most incredible escapes in history, becoming a legend.
The experience
